Our Design/Build process has been refined to “The Jim Pankow Process”. This process saves you time and money - and we can prove it. Hiring Jim Pankow, Inc. as a single entity for the design and construction of your facility assures that your project will be a hassle-free experience.

Site Selection:
Prior to finalizing your site selection, our Project Managers, Architects, and Project Directors can assist you in making that decision. We will list the positives and negatives of each site, taking into consideration: Traffic Counts, Topography, Drainage - Storm Water Runoff, Retention Pond Design - if needed, Excavation Costs, Visibility, Ingress, Egress, and Zoning Issues. Above and beyond the costs of constructing your building, site work can occasionally be a significant portion of your budget. Having been through this process hundreds of times, we can help you make a final decision on a building site.
Architectural Services:
Our architectural department is comprised of 4 licensed architects with a combined 110 years of experience. The department is headed by Mr. John P. Versey. John oversees the efforts of our architects and draftsmen, making sure deadlines are met and customer expectations are exceeded. Because the architects are under the same roof as the rest of the company, the coordination between the architects, project managers, operations managers and construction crews is seamless. Special meetings do not need to be arranged - the architect simply walks down the hall to have all questions answered by project managers.
Guaranteed Maximum Price:
Our proprietary system allows for the luxury of a Guaranteed Maximum Price to your project. This price is given to you very early in the planning stages - prior to construction drawings ever being done. We provide this price after spending only 1% of your budget. The traditional design/bid/build process requires an average of 6% of your budget to get to this stage Furthermore, our Guaranteed Maximum Price is given weeks or months prior to when it would be available through the traditional method. When the price is provided that early in the planning stages, it offers many luxuries - if needed, designs and/or materials can be adjusted to adapt to budget constraints. With the traditional method, making these changes will only cost you more architectural fees - and more time.
Construction:
Our field crews are second to none. We have 30-years of proven history - we recruit, train and retain the best craftsmen in the industry. A tour of any of our buildings will prove this.

Currently we employ 70 dedicated professionals and tradesmen who share the passion for design and building excellence. Above and beyond our resume of past projects completed, we are extremely proud of our employee retention. As of 2007, 53% of our people have been with Jim Pankow for 6+ years. 28% have been loyal to the company for 11+ years. And 20 individuals have been here for more than 16-years.
Custom Cabinetry, Reception Desks, Office Desks and other Millwork:
We have two fulltime millwork professionals. From custom front reception desks to workshop cabinetry, they deliver unsurpassed quality.
